In response to Government advice on COVID-19, Halton Borough Council is announcing some further building closures.

The Halton Direct Link offices in Runcorn and Widnes will be closed to the  public from 1pm today, Thursday 19 March, until further notice.

The Council apologises for the inconvenience but we are sure that you will understand that we have taken this necessary measure to protect customers and staff.

The service will continue to operate with staff dealing with enquiries on the telephone, by e-mail and via the website.

There is so much you can do on our website, such as pay bills, report environmental issues, view planning applications, check bin collection dates, and use our Contact Us page to get in touch.

Check out the website – www.halton.gov.uk – or call us on 0303 330 4300.

Please also note that the Municipal Building, Runcorn Town Hall and Rutland House are not open to the public.

We will make the decision to reopen buildings based on the Government advice at the time.

We will be keeping our community up to date with any further changes to Council services via the local media, online at www.halton.gov.uk; on Twitter @haltonbc and on Facebook. If you do not have access to the internet, you can call us 0303 333 4300 – however, please note it may take longer than usual for your call to be answered.
