Hundreds enjoyed Halton Borough Council’s seventh free Wedding Fayre on Sunday (19 February) with 45 exhibitors on hand to offer advice to potential brides and grooms.
It took place in Runcorn Town Hall, a grade II listed building set in landscape grounds which was transformed into a showpiece for venue dressers, jewellers, magicians, musicians, florists, photographers, DJs, designer dress makers, ice cream and yoghurt vendors.
Parked in the grounds luxurious limousines and camper vans all added to the carnival atmosphere.
Halton Borough Council’s Executive Board Member for Registration Cllr Stef Nelson, said: “Planning a wedding or a partnership day is a big deal. The range of exhibitors meant people could find everything they needed in one place. It was pleasing so many people attended.”
The Mayor and Mayoress of Halton, Cllr Ged Philbin and Ros Wong, attended the event, organised by The Council’s registration service.
