We hope to put the ‘men’ back into ‘healthy mental health’, at a new weekly event at Upton Community Centre from 12.30pm to 2.30pm each Monday…

The Man Talks are for men over 50, from all walks of life and have been organised by Colin Chorley, who set up the Men’s Shed project four years ago in Widnes.

The partnership with Age UK Mid Mersey and Halton Borough Council hopes to include a wide range of discussions and time for men to meet and just ‘chill’.

There is also a drop-in coffee and craft every Monday morning, between 10am and 12noon at the same venue for ladies or gentlemen over 50-years-old.

Halton Borough Council’s Executive Board Member for Health and Wellbeing, Cllr Marie Wright, said: “Enjoy a cuppa, socialise, in a safe and friendly environment.

“Sessions are free, with a contribution sought towards refreshments. It’s yet another way we aer working with a local charity to help local people.”

Please note that spaces are limited and must be booked in advance.
