Halton Borough Council panto actors, including Benidorm legend Crissy Rock, took to the streets, in costume, at Runcorn Hill Park and Shopping City, meeting shoppers and families – giving out flyers and posing for ‘selfies’

‘I’m A Celebrity’ star Crissy stars in our upcoming show. Crissy, who has featured in ITV’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, recently appeared at The Brindley in Seriously Dead.

She said: “I am looking forward to working with a great cast in the great venue and so close to home. There is always something so special about panto and I am already excited.

“The reception from the public at the shopping centre and the park was lovely and warm. I hope as many people as possible book tickets to see the show.”

The show also features former Miss British Isles Rebecca Lake, actor/model and reality TV star Christopher Pym, local theatre star, Andrew Curphey and veteran dame Robert Squire , in the Brindley production.

Actress/singer Charlie Griffiths has also joined the cast. You may just recognise her from last year when she put in a top-notch performance as Fairy Flustered – one of the most popular characters in the show.

We also have a star of CITV.  You may also recognise theatre stalwart Nick Wymer from parts in Father Ted, Paul Merton The Series and The Bill.

The all-rounder, who will play our King, has also appeared in ads for Weetabix and a Bollywood blockbuster as well as numerous TV shows and theatre productions (even a stint in a show in Beirut!)

SLEEPING BEAUTY presented by Polka Dot Pantomimes runs from 11 December – 14 January
