It’s nearly time for The Brindley Theatre’s fantastic festive pantomime, showing from Thursday 7 December to Sunday 7 January. Last year saw record numbers attending and this year looks to be just as popular.
This year’s panto is the much-loved Sleeping Beauty and is once again presented by New Pantomime Productions.
Scarlett from RuPaul’s Drag Race stars as Fairy Sparkle along with Brindley panto favourites Rebecca Lake as the Princess, Andrew Curphey as Chester and Charlotte Dacia as Carabosse. Sean Luckham is Queen Gertie and Ashley Johnson plays the Prince.
Scarlett Harlett, also known as the Cockney Princess, is a London-born drag cabaret artist best known for appearing on the third season of the hit BBC show RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. She is a live singer, entertainer, actor, influencer and TV personality, having garnered a large following during her almost decade long career. She has appeared on popular gameshows, reality TV, commercials, music videos and feature films. She reached the top five spot during her time on RuPaul’s Drag Race and has since established herself as a powerhouse performer having taking her live show all over the world.
The panto will once again have the spectacular scenery, dazzling costumes, hilarious jokes, singalong songs and fun for all the family that has become the trademark of the Brindley annual spectacular. So if you haven’t yet book, don’t delay!
There is a Signed Performance with BSL on Thursday 28 December @ 6.30pm and a Relaxed Performance on Friday 29 December @ 2.30pm. A relaxed performance is a show that’s been adapted to suit people who might require a more relaxed environment when going to the theatre. Usually, these are adults or children with learning difficulties, autism or sensory communication disorders. Please contact the box office for any more information on these performances.
