Multi-million selling recording artist Bryan Adams is coming to the UK next summer and will bring his spectacular open-air show to Widnes.

The Canadian superstar will be performing at the DCBL Stadium Halton on Friday 2 July.

Tickets for the show, which will form part of a UK tour in June and July 2021, go on sale at 9am on Fri 11 December via Ticketmaster.

Bryan’s hit-laden show follows on from the highly successful sold-out Elton John concert in the venue in 2017.

Adams’ influence extends four decades, over which time he has released 14 studio albums. His most recent recording, Shine a Light, whose title track was co-written by Ed Sheeran, debuted at number one on the album charts in March of 2019.  The album also features a duet with Jennifer Lopez.

His songwriting has garnered him numerous awards and accolades, including three Academy Award nominations, five Golden Globe nominations and a Grammy Award.

Halton Borough Council’s portfolio holder for the DCBL Stadium Halton, Cllr Phil Harris, said: “I’m delighted we have another huge gig coming to the stadium and expect it to be as great a success as the Elton John tour visit was. This is something both residents and many local business can look forward to in 2021, after what has been a very challenging year.”

The tour kicks off in Bristol on Sat 26 June. Bryan Adams’ 2021 outdoor tour will also visit Bristol, Cardiff, Scarborough, Telford, Exeter, Canterbury and Leeds, plus The Eden Project in Cornwall and the Cornbury Music Festival in Oxfordshire.
