Halton Borough Council has launched a survey to find out how easy it is for residents to access healthy, affordable food.

The results of the survey will be used to inform future council policy. It is the final part of a detailed study that has looked at food provision across the borough.

The survey was launched this week. Anyone who takes part will be invited to enter a prize draw.

The first prize will be a £30 in shopping vouchers with three runners up prizes of a £10 shopping voucher.

The results of the survey will be published at the end of the year.

Halton Borough Council’s Executive Board Member for Health and Wellbeing, Cllr Marie Wright: said “This is a great opportunity for residents to share their views and experiences on food provision in Halton and to help us develop future council policy”

The survey can be accessed online at https://webapp.halton.gov.uk/survey_snap/foodaccess.htm

Paper copies of the survey have also been distributed to community groups to ensure the views of all residents are considered
