Temporary closure of canal towpath and footbridge

The Bridgewater Canal Towpath and footbridge at the Brindley Theatre will be closed for a short time on Friday (May 10^th).

The Council has been carrying out improvement works to this section of the canal tow path, and this work will be completed on Friday when the contractor will lay a non-slip surface treatment.

This will be the temporary access route to the Brindley Theatre when enhancement works to the building begin later this year.

Alternative routes to High Street and The Brindley will be signed.
