The Brindley, Halton’s multi-award winning theatre is gearing up for another big season this autumn.

The Halton Borough Council venue has once again been awarded a prestigious Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence and there is plenty of excellent entertainment on offer in Runcorn from September onwards at Halton’s flagship venue.

The season kicks off on Saturday 31 August with something for a younger music audience with the brilliant show Bows & Bunny Ears – a tribute to Ariana Grande and Jojo Siwa, followed by shows by established names such as The Manfreds, LesMcKeown’s Bay City Rollers, legendary singer/songwriter Ralph McTell and country star Charlie Landsborough on his farewell tour.

The Brindley has also established itself on the national comedy circuit and visiting this season will be top Irish comedians Ed Byre and Jimeoin and well-known comedy characters Count Arthur Strong and the hilarious John Shuttleworth with his John Shuttleworth’s Back tour.

The will be more of the venues successful ‘Audience with’ evenings, this time with former Labour politician Alan John Johnson and one of the country’s most inspirational people Simon Weston for what promise to be fascinating evenings in very interesting company.

As always, families are catered for, with the likes of Milkshake Live! With the Milkshake Magic Musical, plus a host of Christmas events including of course the brilliant annual festive pantomime which is Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs starring Brookside and The Royal star Michael Starke plus popular Brindley regulars Andrew Curphey, Rebecca Lake and Charlie Griffiths.

The varied season also features comedy dramas such as Right Time! Wrong Place! Starring Crissy Rock, top class variety with the Lady Boys of Bangkok and the Russian National Ballet performing The Nutcracker.

Halton Borough Council’s Executive Board Member for The Arts, Cllr Phil Harris, said: “More than ever we a varied programme, so you should be able to find something you like here.

“And of course the free parking is a bonus.”
