We like to do things a bit differently in Halton. Instead of asking people to ‘sshhhh’ in Halton Lea Library we are encouraging teenagers to come and make people laugh!

Have you ever been told you’re funny? Or if not, dreamed that you were? Well it’s time to ‘stand up’ and give it a go in a comfortable friendly setting at your local library. (Yes, you’ve heard it right!)

Halton Borough Council’s Executive Board Member for Libraries, Cllr Phil Harris, said: “Our introduction to Stand Up Comedy workshop will help you develop your comedic skills and stage presence, generate material and find your own unique comedy style.”

It takes place on Thursday 23 November, from 5pm to 6pm. It is free but please book ahead on
