Halton Borough Council Market traders have completed a walk from Otterspool to Pier Head and back again, approximately ten miles raising £1,500 for charity, quite a ‘feet’ for the big-hearted stallholders.
They presented a cheque with money raised up to now £1,500 to CLIC Sargent on Saturday at the venue. When Cancer strikes young lives CLIC Sargent helps families limit the damage cancer causes beyond their health. From diagnosis, CLIC Sargent’s specialist care teams will step in, ready to help, support and guide.
They provide a specialist package of support tailored to each young cancer patient and family.
Halton Borough Council’s Executive Board Member for the Physical Environment, Cllr Ron Hignett, said: “It is great to see such an effort by our traders, proving what a community spirited market it is.”
