Big hearted Runcorn residents helped Council workers raised more than £610 at a MacMillan Coffee Morning last Friday at Castlefields Community Centre.

Events included a guess the weight of the cake,name the bear competition and a guess How many sweets in the cup and saucer.

Centre Manager Alison Watson said: “As ever, the people of Castlefields have really supported this event.

“Local residents have been very generous with contributing to this cause.”

For those who entered, the cake weighed 5lb 4oz and the bear is called Barnaby and there were 252 Sweets in the cup and saucer.
